The shield behind the stove is selected after understanding the device and the entire wall cross-section. Available Vitcas boards differ in properties and described tasks. They should not be matched solely according to sheet thickness or the highest temperature listed in the product header.
First, location requirements
Check the stove manual, required clearances, and access for maintenance. Also note hidden wall materials and planned openings. The shield does not automatically change the distances required for the device or the conditions of the wood behind it.
Prepare a drawing with support and fastening for each element. The selection should consider weight, moisture, and the method of cleaning the visible surface. The wall surface requires assessment, even if it will be completely covered after installation.
Compare the appropriate range of panels
HT Fireboard has described protective and finishing tasks. Vermiculite Fire Board is an insulating panel for the specified indoor or sheltered conditions. The choice should result from the role of the layer in the given solution.
Ceramic Fibre Board constitutes another rigid insulation format. It requires proper support and fibre protection. Do not assign it any load or visible finishing just because the sheet has a similar outline.
Check the detail before decoration
Dry-fit the panels and access to the stove connections when cold. Choose the mounting and finish according to the documentation of the appropriate material. Maintain the required spaces; precise cutting does not imply the need to seal every free space tightly.
It is worth taking photographs and recording the layers before covering the edge. When changing the stove or wall, return to assessing the entire system. Similar power or size of the new device does not automatically confirm the same heating conditions as the previous enclosure.
